Japan EU Steel quotas have been opened for only two products.
In the EU steel quotas for Japan, where only two products are included, the quota for Wire Rod is about to be filled as we approach the last quarter of the year. The quota for Seamless Stainless Tubes and Pipes has not been halved yet.
The slow course of the quotas opened for only two products draws attention. The current situation analyzes of the quotas, which are expected to be completed in the second quarter, are as follows:
While 96/t of the 1.600/t quota opened for Stainless Wire Rod was transferred, 1.444/t was used. The remaining 156/t Stainless Wire rod is expected to be completed in the next quarter.
Seamless Stainless Tubes and Pipes, on the other hand, continues its course very slowly. Of the 2.193/t quota opened, 498/t was used. With the transfer amount of 1.180/t, 1.695/t remained. In this case, even half of the quotas for Seamless Stainless Tubes and Pipes were not fulfilled.
2023 Taiwan EU steel quotas updated
Taiwan EU Steel Quotas, which have been moving rather slowly, were unable to fill their current quotas towards the end of the first quarter. In particular, sheet metal products and Other Welded Stainless Pipe are expected to gain momentum in the second quarter.
The latest situation in the quotas opened for the Coil Group, which is expected to gain momentum in the second quarter:
Of the 39.800/t quota opened for 3B Electrical Sheets, 14,366/t was used. With the transferred quota amount of 17,018/t, 25,434/t remained.
While 10,208/t of the 31,641/t quota opened for Organic Coated Sheets was transferred, 5.699/t was used. The remaining 25,942/t remained.
Stainless Hot Rolled Quarto Plates quotas are about to expire
Although there is no quota transferred from the 43.339/t quota opened for the Stainless Hot Rolled Quarto Plates, 43.243/t was used. The quotas for Stainless Hot Rolled Quarto Plates, which have only 96/t remaining, are about to be filled.
Stainless Wire rod quotas showed half full
1,500/t of the 5.980/t quota for Stainless Wire Rod was transferred. With the quota amount of 3.296/t used, 2.684/t remained.
Other Welved Pipes quotas are progressing rather slowly
Of the 18.217/t quota for Other Welded Pipes, 4,554/t was used. 9,734/t quota was transferred and with the remaining 13,663/t quota, Other Welded Pipes is progressing very slowly.
