Indonesia's billet exports & imports increased

In the first six months of 2023, Indonesia's billet imports increased by 17% compared to the same period of 2022 and reached 2 million tons. While Oman is the main import source with 1.1 million tons; Russia ranked second with 445,000 tons.

In the same period, Indonesia's billet exports increased by 13% on an annual basis and amounted to 1.15 million tons. While Taiwan is the main export point with 217,000 tons; The Philippines ranked second with 207,000 tons.

In June 2023, Indonesia's billet imports amounted to 265,000 tons, down 35 percent month on month, and exports reached 276,000 tons, up 118 percent month on month.
