India's steel imports rose

In April-November period of fiscal year 2022, India imported 3.75 million tons of finished steel products, up 23% y-o-y.

Among them, hot rolled coil (HRC) imports accounted for 33% and 1.22 million tons of total steel imports.

South Korea remained India's largest source of steel imports, with 1.5 million tons, up 16% y-o-y. Russia ranked second with 218,000 tons, up 468% y-o-y.
