In which countries are the most important shipbreaking facilities in the world located?

According to the information compiled by the SteelRadar reporter, the largest shipbreaking facilities in the world are located in Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan and Turkey.

The world ship fleet is approximately 90,000 ships and the average life span of a ship is known as 20-25 years. The average number of large ships scrapped each year is around 500-700, but when ships of all sizes are taken into account, this number can go up to 3,000. Ninety percent of the world's shipbreaking is done in Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan and Turkey.
