European scrap market continues to move

Benelux scrap prices decreased this week. While prices decreased in the Netherlands and Italy, prices increased in Germany. Scrap prices in Benelux started the week of 9 October at €295, down from €310 last week. In the Netherlands, the price started the week at $339, down by $2. It was noteworthy that prices were €315 in Italy and €340 in Germany this week.

Rebar prices volatile

In Italy, rebar is trading at €568 this week, up from €575 last week. In Spain, prices have been stable at €565 for two weeks. Rebar prices in Germany started the week at €340, up €20. Rebar prices in Poland, which have been hovering around €635 for two weeks, increased to €638 this week.

HRC and CRC prices remain flat

In Europe, high inventories and rising logistics costs supported HRC prices as local distributors delayed their purchases.

HRC prices are trading at €645 in Germany, €655 in Spain and €605 in Italy this week.

As for CRC prices, Italy's HRC prices, which were at €715 last week, remained stable this week. On the other hand, prices remained unchanged at €680 in Spain and €730 in Germany.

No change was seen in steel plate prices in Europe this week

In Italy, steel plate prices, which were €725 last week, remained unchanged this week.

In Germany, the price of EN 10025 (S235JR) steel plate was €800 and EN 10025 (S235JR) 14-40 mm steel plate was €680.

Wire mesh prices decreased in the UK

According to the new week's data, wire mesh price, which was announced as 571.00 USD last week, was announced as 567.00 USD this week. It is noteworthy that prices have decreased by 4 USD since last week. It is followed how prices will change in the coming days.
