Production, exports and imports were interrupted due to the destruction of many production facilities in Ukraine due to the Ukraine-Russia war. Steel exports from Ukraine's black sea ports are banned.
According to the Ukrainian Steel Producers Association Ukrmetallurgprom data, pig iron production in Ukraine fell year-on-year in the January-July period. It produced 4.8 million. Crude steel production was also approximately 4.82 million, down 62.1 percent year on year.
