Far East steel market analysis | August 26-September 2, 2026

As September begins, the Far East steel market is seeing expectations of a seasonal recovery in demand in China, while weakness in the real estate sector and high raw material costs are limiting price increases. In India, capacity expansion and green transition investments are accelerating, while steel inventories are decreasing and prices are increasing in Japan.
