According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s cold-rolled coil (CRC) imports decreased by 8.16% year-on-year in April, falling from 72,028 tonnes to 66,151 tonnes. Compared to the previous month, imports declined by 24.68%, down from 87,828 tonnes recorded in March.
In the January–April period, total CRC imports increased by 52.91% year-on-year, rising from 170,201 tonnes to 260,256 tonnes.
In April, South Korea, the Russian Federation, and China were Türkiye’s top three CRC suppliers. Imports from South Korea increased by 5.18% year-on-year to 21,315 tonnes, while imports from the Russian Federation declined by 31.77% to 18,411 tonnes and imports from China decreased by 2.69% to 14,957 tonnes.
These countries were followed by France, where imports surged by 193.73% year-on-year to 5,747 tonnes, and Spain, where imports decreased by 56.57% to 1,395 tonnes.
