According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s HRC exports in June declined by 5.77% year on year, falling from 267,809 tonnes to 252,353 tonnes.
Compared with May, exports decreased by 9.17%. HRC exports stood at 277,839 tonnes in May, before falling to 252,353 tonnes in June.
In the January-June period, Türkiye’s total HRC exports declined by 13.88% year on year, falling from 1,566,540 tonnes to 1,349,084 tonnes.
In June, Italy was Türkiye’s largest HRC export destination, with 67,251 tonnes. Exports to Italy declined by 32.60%, from 99,776 tonnes in the same month last year.
Italy was followed by Spain with 41,317 tonnes, the US with 24,551 tonnes, Morocco with 19,931 tonnes, and Libya with 15,350 tonnes.
In June, HRC exports to Spain increased by 88.45%, from 21,924 tonnes in the same month last year. Exports to Libya also rose by 74.98%, increasing from 8,772 tonnes to 15,350 tonnes. Meanwhile, HRC exports to Morocco surged from 1,091 tonnes in June last year to 19,931 tonnes this June.
