The slowdown in supply in Turkish steel factories and the rise in scrap prices increased the prices of products in ready stock. Current producer list prices in the Turkish steel market were announced as follows:
Biga;
Rebar (12-32mm) 570$ / 19.400 TL including VAT
Plain Wire Rod $580
Deformed Wire Rod $590
Istanbul;
Rebar (12-32mm) 570-575$ / 19.350-19.550 TL including VAT
Izmir;
Rebar (12-32mm) 560-565$ / 19.100-19.200 TL
Iskenderun;
Rebar (12-32mm) 570-580$ / 19.400-19.700 TL
The increase in scrap prices also puts upward pressure on billet prices. Billet offers from Russia have decreased. Local billet offers increased from $520 to $530. Steel producers are trying to move forward by selling while trying to gradually increase rebar prices. For this reason, prices are traded below the list figures.
