Turkish local rebar prices rise

Turkish domestic rebar prices have increased. Iron prices moved upwards as a result of the efforts of the factories to reduce production by reducing shifts instead of selling at a loss in the face of increasing costs and decreasing demand. By reducing production, factories will try to suppress scrap prices even more and signal that production is limited in response to future demand. In this way, they will try to keep the profit margin high. We will follow up on the expectations in the coming days.

Istanbul iron prices          14.600 TL (+200)

Izmir iron prices               14.300 TL (+300)

Karabuk iron prices           14.500 TL (+400)

Payas iron prices               were announced as 14,600 TL (+200).
