Turkey's semi-finished imports tripled in May

According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), Turkey's imports of semi-finished products reached 815 thousand tons in May with a 3% increase compared to the previous month. Thus, May was the peak month in the first 5 months of the year.

Turkey's imports of semi-finished products tripled (526 thousand tons) in May this year compared to May last year, reaching the highest import figure of the first 5 months

Although imports of semi-finished products decreased by 10% in the first month of this year compared to the same period of the previous year, they increased by 2%, 55%, 63% and 182% (3 times) in February, March, April and May, respectively.

Turkey's imports of semi-finished products increased every month in the first 5 months of the year.

In the first month of this year, Turkey's imports of semi-finished products fell from 465 thousand tons to 416 thousand 658 tons compared to the same period last year.

Although imports of semi-finished products increased slightly by 0.03% in February compared to January, this increase was the milestone for March, April and May

Imports of semi-finished products reached 416,769 tons in February.

The highest increase of the first 5-month period reached 641 thousand tons in March.

In April, imports of semi-finished products increased by 23% mom to 790 thousand tons.

Semi-finished imports increased by 3% mom to 815 thousand tons in May, reaching the highest level in the first 5 months of the year.
