Many end-users in the construction industry are postponing construction projects due to economic uncertainty, high interest rates and high inflation. This has led to a decrease in rebar prices in Turkish lira and dollar terms.
While producer prices in Turkey remained stable at $650 today, rebar prices in the spot market decreased by $4-7 / 100-200tl.
While some experts in the iron and steel market believe that the price floor has been reached, others predict that rebar prices will fall further.
Market confidence has decreased in the market where consumption has weakened well.
