The iron and steel industry gained momentum yesterday evening and today for the first time since February the 6th. The potential need for rebar in the earthquake region stimulated the demand in the market. However, İÇDAŞ Board Member Adnan Aslan said in a statement, "Despite all the negativities in the sector, we have decided to reduce our prices in order not to allow opportunists in the prices of the rebar we produce. We will stand by our decision and continue to do our best to make sales. We will continue to fight for our citizens affected by the earthquake.”
On the other hand, the decline in imported scrap prices and an upward trend in global markets are felt.
The current rebar prices evaluated by www.steelradar.com are as follows;
Istanbul rebar prices 15.900 TL / 715 USD (+200)
Izmir rebar prices 15.900 TL / 715 USD (+200)
Karabuk rebar prices 15.900 TL / 715 USD (+200)
Payas rebar prices 16,100 TL / 724 USD (Closed).
