Proemtia, the industrial product trading platform established by Türkiye İş Bankası, held the first Iron and Steel Sector Meetings on 6 June 2023 in Kayseri, one of the important centres of the sector. The event was held at the Ahi Evran Conference Hall of Kayseri Organised Industrial Zone.
Umut Feyzioğlu, General Manager of Proemtia, and Mehmet Büyüksimitçi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kayseri Chamber of Industry and Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, delivered the opening speeches. The event was attended by key players in the iron and steel industry, members of the Kayseri Chambers of Industry and Commerce, and executives from Türkiye İş Bankası.
Barış Aksoy, Deputy General Manager of Proemtia, explained the use of the Proemtia platform and the functional and financial advantages it provides to sellers and buyers.
In the panel on "Purchasing Decisions of Stakeholders in the Iron and Steel Sector" moderated by Dr. Barış Esen, KMC Group Chairman of the Board of Directors Ziya Eren, 3K Demir Çelik Chairman of the Board of Directors İrfan Püsküllü, Fişekçioğlu Demir Çelik Chairman of the Board of Directors Bilal Fişekçioğlu and Proemtia Sales and Business Development Director Nedim Yalt evaluated the current developments in the sector and the factors affecting purchasing decisions.
Economist Murat Sağman shared his current analyses on global markets and the Turkish economy, and Serhat Kaya, Manager of Yatırım Finansman Research Department, shared his current analyses on the iron and steel sector.
The second of the "Proemtia Iron and Steel Sector Meetings" held in Kayseri will be held in Ankara on 13 July 2023.
