Iron ore has decreased from $US130 to about $US122 in the past week. With the reduction of production due to air pollution in the Chinese city of Tangshan and the improvement in its liquidity, prices increased and amounted above $127.
The amount of iron ore stocks at Chinese ports decreased by 2.23 million tons to 140 million tons. The faster-than-expected recovery of the markets supported the steel demand.
