After re-investigating stainless steel wire rod imports from Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan, the U.S. Department of Commerce concluded that the removal of existing anti-dumping duties on these products would lead to the resumption of shipments at artificially low prices.
According to ministry experts, the weighted average dumping margin is 2.22% for Taiwanese companies, 28.44% for South Korean companies and 33.58% for Japanese companies. Therefore, the taxes currently levied on these products will obviously be extended.
The re-investigation into stainless wire rod imports from the three countries started on 1 July 2021. This routine procedure usually takes 120 days for the U.S. Department of Commerce.
