Fikret Kileci, Head of the Southeast Anatolian Exporters' Unions Coordinator, stated that 93 companies in the region were included in the "Top 1,000 Exporters-2020" list prepared by the Turkish Exporters' Assembly.
NUMBER OF EXPORTING COMPANIES INCREASED
Pointing out that the number of companies that carry their commercial activities across borders has increased, Kileci said, "Our region achieved an export of 9 billion 300 million dollars in 2020.
MOST OF THE COMPANIES ARE IN GAZIANTEP
5 billion 300 million dollars of this export was made by our 93 companies, which are among Turkey's top 1,000 exporters. 77 of these companies continue their activities in Gaziantep, 9 in Kahramanmaraş, 6 in Mardin and 1 in Adıyaman."
12 BILLION DOLLARS OF EXTERNAL SALES ARE TARGET IN 2021
Noting that as Southeast exporters, they aim to export 12 billion dollars this year, Kileci said:
"Our exports in the January-August period are 7 billion 300 million dollars. It seems that we will complete the year close to our target.
EXPORT TO 195 COUNTRIES
We export to 195 countries together with our exporting cities Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, Malatya, Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Kilis and Adıyaman. All of our exporting companies are making great efforts to take a stronger place in foreign markets. We work together to produce more competitive and high value-added products. We have the power to do this with our agricultural infrastructure, advanced industry and motivation.
