Change in HRC prices
Türkiye's HRC prices, which started 2023 at $740, showed a decrease of 6.32% compared to the same period last year. Prices peaked in March, reaching $920, reflecting high demand in the industry. However, with the decline until November, it fell to the level of $650. An increasing trend in HRC prices is observed with the new year.
Decline in scrap in January
While Türkiye's scrap prices were at $418 in January 2023, they increased by 0.47% to $420 in the same period this year. Throughout the year, scrap prices reached their highest value in March and dropped to $346 in August. Scrap, which closed the year with $425 in December, decreased by 1.17% in January compared to the previous month.
