NLMK to ıncrease galvanized steel production capacity

NLMK Lipetsk has launched a project to build a new continuous hot-dip galvanizing line HDGL-5 with an annual steel capacity of 450,000 tons. The new line will produce high-quality steel for the construction, automotive and white goods sectors. In 2019, NLMK signed a contract with Tenova from Italy for the supply of basic engineering and main process equipment. The commissioning of the line is planned for 2022. Investment in the project will exceed RUB 12 billion.

Currently, NLMK Lipetsk coated steel operations consist of four continuous hot-dip galvanizing lines with a total annual capacity of 1.25 million tons and three pre-painting lines with a total annual capacity of 0.55 million tons.
