Libyan Minister of Planning Taher Jehaimi '' We will launch 184 projects worth 16 billion dollars, we trust Turkish companies. We expect Turkish companies to be a real partner with us. We don't expect them to do their projects and leave, we expect them to work as a real partner in development projects.
Jehaimi stated that Turkish companies are not new to Libya and that Libya is not an expatriate for them. Turkish companies have been doing their job in the best way for decades and I can say that they have a very good image. If we look at the rate of Turkish companies in development projects in Libya, they have undertaken 20% of these projects, we can call it the lion's share.
Libya is now a bigger market than before, but the conditions of competition will be different. In order to take part in the Libyan market and consolidate your place, your products need to be promoted very well to end consumers, and your quality - price advantages need to be shown very clearly.
