Giving the stage to his daughter Duru at the end of the panel, Ocakçı stated that this moment was not planned in advance and continued as follows:
"When I was talking to Mr. Cem this morning, I told him that my daughter would attend the event. He said ‘let's put her on stage, it would be a nice experience’. Therefore, we were caught unprepared, but we had a common curiosity. I thought; what can I ask my daughter? We were not prepared, but I wanted to pose a common question that both she and I had: What do the children of parents working in this sector think about our sector?"
Duru Ocakçı, who recently learned that she was going to take the stage, said that at first she thought it was a joke. “Classic dad,” Ocakçı began her speech, sincerely explaining her father's busy schedule in business life and the distance in family life, especially after he moved to China.
"I have always admired my father. He ran his business with a stress that he never reflected on us. He never carried work at home. I thought it was easy because it looked easy, but when I moved to China, I realized how much labor was behind everything." she stated.
Stating that technology has made the long distance easier to some extent, Duru added that this process has given her a different vision and that she wants to take part in the same sector in the future. “I am going to Switzerland for university in three months. These experiences will make me stronger there as well,” she concluded.
This special moment, which attracted great interest from the participants, presented the sincere story of a family to the sector representatives.
