India's finished steel imports from Russia reached the highest level in four years in April-October.
Steel exports from Russia to India during this period reached 149,000 tons.
Russia was one of the top five exporters despite accounting for about 5% of all steel imports to India.
Total steel imports to India between April and October reached 3.2 million tons, up 14.5% from the previous year.
Between April and October, India was a net exporter of steel, but total shipments were cut by more than half due to export duties and slowing global demand.
