Integrated producers in Northern Europe are expecting to receive increases of €30-50 ($32-54) per tonne for cold rolled coil and hot dipped galvanized coil for deliveries in January-February.
Offers close to €770-780 per ton ex-works for CRC and around €800 per ton ex-works for HDG were reported.
Buyers, however, anticipate lower commercial prices of €740-750 per ex-works ton for CRC and €750-770 per ex-works ton for HDG.
Bookings for January and February deliveries are quite limited, market sources said.
European producers have been trying to increase their HRC offers to €680-700 per ton ex-works since the week ended on November 10.
Meanwhile, competitive offers from overseas suppliers have put additional pressure on European prices.
