EU continues to impose sanctions on Russia for quotas

Some temporary exemptions have been applied to the newly issued EU iron and steel quotas, while sanctions on Russia remain. According to the information received, rising 3.5 million tons of slab imports from Russia were allowed.

Not only slab, but also a small share was given to the Russian billet.

Although Russia can use the quotas remaining from 2022, as of September 30, 2023, goods of Russian origin and processed in third world countries will be prohibited from entering Europe.
