Demand stopped in iron and steel markets

Turkish rebar prices have decreased between 500-750 TL/ 15-20 USD from the beginning of last week to today.

With the rapid depreciation of the Turkish lira against the dollar at the beginning of July, the rebar prices, which rose to the range of 18,800-19,200 TL, caused the construction sector to slow down.

While rebar prices showed an increase in TL basis, after the stognation in demand, decreases began to be experienced in dollar terms. After the $10 reduction of İçdaş A.Ş., one of the leading manufacturers of the industry, yesterday, producer prices were reduced to $620 or even $600.

Rebar prices according to regions, evaluated by www.steelradar.com, are as follows;

Istanbul rebar prices 18.450 TL (0,00) / 599$ (0,0)

Izmir rebar prices 18.300 TL (0,00) / 594$ (0,0)

Karabük rebar prices 18.300 TL (-100) / 594$ (0,0)

Payas rebar prices 18.300 TL (0,00) / 594$ (-4)
