Rebar prices, which rose from $640 to $680 during the week of May 8-12, retreated by $20 this week to end the spot market at $640.
Import scrap was trading at $375 and shipbreaking scrap at $382, while Kardemir announced billet prices at $615-620 with a $10 increase today. However, import scrap prices continue to be traded in the range of $520-530.
In the market, which will be shaped according to demand, rebar prices are expected to decline a little more due to weak demand.
Rebar prices in Turkey, which are formed according to regions, fell by an average of $10 per ton compared to yesterday.
