Canada imposed sanctions on Russia's aluminum and steel products

Canadian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Chrystia Freeland announced that the import of all Russian aluminum and steel products is banned. In the statement, it was stated that the ban covers the import of both final and non-final aluminum and steel products.

Government officials explained that the purpose of the ban, which covers aluminum and steel products, is to make it harder for Russia to finance its war against Ukraine.
