According to information provided by the German government, crude steel production in Germany in March 2023 decreased by 2.7% y-o-y to 3.24 million tons.
Crude steel output in January-March this year also decreased by 6.6% y-o-y to 9.16 million tons.
Iron production in Germany in March was 2.15 million tons, 5.6% above last year.
Domestic hot-rolled steel production increased by 1.5% to 2.98 million tons in March, but decreased by 6.2% y-o-y to 8.16 million tons in the first three months of this year.
