UK-based CRC Evans, which operates in the field of welding and coating services, announced that it has renewed its contract for the ongoing water pipeline project in Morocco. The project, carried out by the state-owned OCP Group, aims to transport treated seawater from Jorf Lasfar to the Khouribga region.
In the first phase, which was completed in 2024, the company carried out 4,000 welds for a 72 km long steel pipeline with a diameter of 52 inches. In the new phase, it was stated that welding management will be conducted for a 150 km long pipeline to be laid with steel pipes of 56 inches and 40 inches in diameter. Internal and external welding equipment and expert technicians will be used for approximately 12,000 weld points.
The company is also shifting toward the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. Within the scope of the AMP8 infrastructure plan in the UK, which will continue until 2030, it aims to provide welding and coating solutions for utility projects such as water and natural gas.
