China's stainless steel exports and imports increased

In 2022, China's stainless steel imports amounted to approximately 3.29 million tons, up 12.2 percent y-o-y. Among these, Indonesia, Japan and South Korea accounted for around 3.08 million tons, 93.79 percent of China's total stainless steel imports.

Meanwhile, exports increased by 2.13% compared to the previous year and amounted to 4.55 million tons. Among them, China's stainless steel exports to the EU were about 408,000 tons, increasing by around 57.32 percent year on year.
