North American Stainless, Outokumpu and Cleveland-Cliffs increased their stainless steel prices and alloy surcharges in December. The US market has recovered for the first time since the June drop.
As of this week, the monthly increase was 3.09% in AISI 304, 3.03% in AISI 304L and 3.26% in AISI 316L.
Market participants think that the actual demand increased gradually in December compared to the previous months. However, the current situation is also below the market trend in December of previous years.
