US rebar imports increased in June

US rebar imports reached 193,000 tons in June, a 172% increase from the previous month and 94% from the previous year.

Algeria dominated with 94,000 tons, a 165% m-o-m surge and a 165% y-o-y jump. Other primary import sources included Egypt, Turkey, and Mexico.

The value generated by these imports was around $123 million, a 158% m-o-m increase and 18% y-o-y increase.
