In September, US imports of hot-rolled steel bars totaled about 50,700 tons, down by 20% on a monthly basis and up by 70% on an annual basis.
Imports from Canada totaled about 28,000 tons, from Japan about 5,400 tons and from South Korea about 4,600 tons.
The value of imports during this period amounted to around US$ 68 million.
