According to data from February, while flat steel coil imports to the US decreased on a monthly basis, they increased on an annual basis. It reached 96,543 tons with a decrease of 3.2% compared to January and an increase of 19.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, the country imported mostly coil sheet.
Imports from Canada amounted to 59,243 tons, from Mexico 31,165 tons, from South Korea 7,935 tons, from the Netherlands 2,544 tons, and from Sweden 1,972 tons.
The value of imports during this period amounted to $85.1 million.
