US crude steel production increased on a weekly basis at the end of May

In the week ended May 27, US crude steel production was at 1.74 million net tons, an increase of 0.5% on a weekly basis and a decrease of 1.9% on an annual basis.

Capacity utilization rate increased by 0.4

In this period, capacity utilization rate increased by 0.4% on a weekly basis and decreased by 3.9% yoy to 77.2%.

Since the beginning of 2023, US crude steel production decreased by 3.9% yoy to 35.35 million net tons. The capacity utilization rate was decreased by 5.4% y-o-y to 75.1%.
