US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced at the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) conference that Trade Representative Katherine Tai is in talks with the EU and other trading partners on green steel.
The green steel agreement is expected to protect the environment, bring more steel that meets environmental standards to the world and prevent steel dumping in China.
Green steel deal could reduce China's sales
If China does not produce steel to the same standard, its sales could be negatively affected.
