UK extends trade restrictions under the HRC until 2027

The government's decision follows the recommendation of the local Trade Remedies Authority (TRA).

As a result, the AD and countervailing measures on HRC originating in China will remain in force until 7 April 2027. AD duties on HRC originating from Russia, Brazil and Iran will remain in place until 7 October 2027.

The government also stated that the current ban on all imports from Russia will remain in place, which includes HRC. Similarly, it confirmed the decision to lift trade barriers on imports of HRC originating in Ukraine on the grounds that "the recurrence of dumping of products originating in Ukraine is unlikely due to the reduction in Ukraine's production capacity and the war with Russia, which has limited export opportunities".
