Türkiye's scrap imports increased by 12.7% in July

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's scrap imports in July increased by 12.7% compared to the same month of the previous year, increasing from 1 million 467 thousand 521 tons to 1 million 654 thousand 265 tons. Compared to June, the previous month, it increased by 4.3%. 

Total scrap imports in the January-July period increased by 4.6% from 10 million 803 thousand 303 tons to 11 million 300 thousand 84 tons. 

During this period, the USA, the Netherlands, and Lithuania ranked in the top 3 in Türkiye's scrap imports. Scrap imports from the USA amounted to 440 thousand 840 tons, followed by the Netherlands with 165 thousand 803 tons, Lithuania with 162 thousand 764 tons, the UK with 155 thousand 805 tons, and Romania with 152 thousand 829 tons. 

Scrap imports from Russia amounted to 84 thousand 298 tons, followed by Belgium with 80 thousand 632 tons, Denmark with 77 thousand 489 tons, France with 54 thousand 519 tons, and Germany with 49 thousand 712 tons.
