KGHM Polska Miedź and global mining company BHP World Exploration signed the MoU, establishing a framework for exploring future areas of cooperation.
Under the agreement, the two companies plan to share their knowledge and experience in the mining sector, compare operational practices and assess potential areas of cooperation. The parties are expected to identify common priorities through their discussions and examine areas that could develop into concrete cooperation opportunities at a later stage.
New opportunities to be evaluated
Under the cooperation framework, KGHM and BHP may evaluate opportunities in exploration activities, projects under development and other areas that could create mutual value.
The cooperation may not be limited to regions where the two companies currently operate and could extend to projects and initiatives in other geographies.
KGHM President of the Management Board Remigiusz Paszkiewicz stated that the agreement provides a structured framework for sharing knowledge and experience between the two companies and opens the way for a more comprehensive assessment of potential areas of cooperation.
KGHM Vice President of the Management Board Anna Sobieraj-Kozakiewicz also stated that the exchange of experience and views between mining companies operating in different regions could contribute to the development of the sector.
