Karabük Demir Çelik Fabrikaları (KARDEMİR), the only producer in Türkiye capable of manufacturing heavy sections, continues to expand its product range for structural applications requiring high strength with new steel grades.
According to a statement by the company, new grade options have been added to the heavy section product group to meet the needs of different industries and projects, following the achievement of sustainable production capability in certain sections of S355JR and S355J2 structural steel grades.
New steel grades begin to be used in aircraft hangars
The company stated that the products developed for structural applications requiring high strength and load-bearing capacity offer opportunities for use, particularly in wide-span steel construction projects.
KARDEMİR reported that the new steel grades have begun to be used in projects such as aircraft hangars, where high load-bearing capacity and structural strength are of primary importance.
The company stated that it is contributing to meeting the demand for high-quality structural steel through domestic production by supplying S355JR and S355J2 heavy sections produced in specific sections to its customers in Türkiye and abroad.
New product development activities to continue in the heavy section segment
KARDEMİR stated that it continues to offer solutions tailored to the different project requirements of its customers through its production infrastructure, technical expertise and approach to quality.
The company said it continues its product development activities by monitoring customer needs and changing industry expectations, and stated that it aims to further develop its capabilities in the heavy section segment with new grades and products, take part in more projects, and extend the strength of domestic production to wider markets.
