Türkiye's HRC imports decreased 43.2% year on year in May

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's HRC imports declined to 291,275 mt in May from 512,998 mt in the same month last year. On a monthly basis, imports also decreased compared to 334,854 mt recorded in April.

During the January-May period, total HRC imports decreased by 8.65% year on year, decreasing from 1,568,496 mt to 1,432,830 mt.

Japan was Türkiye's largest HRC supplier in May with 79,999 mt, followed by China with 53,284 mt, Russia with 49,545 mt, Malaysia with 42,505 mt, and South Korea with 37,843 mt.
