According to data compiled by Steel Radar from the World Steel Association (WorldSteel), Turkiye's crude steel production was recorded as 2,900 million tonnes in July 2023. However, this figure decreased by 3.44% to 2.800 million tonnes in August 2023. Compared to August 2022, the production amount remained unchanged at 2.800 million tonnes.
When we look at Turkiye's total steel production in the 8-month period, it is seen that the amount of production, which was 24,500 million tonnes last year, decreased by 11.84% to 21,600 million tonnes in the 8-month period of 2023.
