Türkiye's CRC imports decreased by 16.9% in January-August period

According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute ( TUIK), Türkiye's August 2024 cold rolled coil steel (CRC) imports decreased by 20.8% on an annual basis to 79,041 tons from 99,822 tons in the same month of the previous year. It increased by 54.2% compared to the previous month of July.

Total cold roll imports in the January-August period decreased by 16.9% on a yearly basis from 603,657 tons to 501,601 tons.

In August, China was the leading importer of CRC with 28,404.9 tons, followed by South Korea with 19,409 tons, Russia with 15,100.6 tons, Italy with 5,388.3 tons and Spain with 3,336.8 tons.

The ranking of countries that Türkiye imported CRC in August is as follows;
