The domestic market has been quiet since India abolished the steel export duty on November 19th.
In the past week, scrap, billet, rebar, wire rod and sheet prices have fallen, while prices have increased.
Local scrap prices rose from $425 at the beginning of the week to $445 today.
Billet prices rose from $565 midweek to $580 today.
Rebar prices rose from $620 to $630, the same as last week.
For wire rod, it rose from $575 on December 2 to $595 today.
HRC prices last fell from $690 to $670 on December 1st.
