The USA Department of Commerce re-investigated UK imports of cold rolled flats from 1 September 2019 to 31 August 2020. The investigation was initiated by AK Steel, which is now part of the Cliffs group.
The investigation examined a wide variety of cold rolled products in sheets, coils and strips of carbon and alloy steel, including high-strength automatic sheet.
According to the ministry, only one British company, Liberty Performance Steels, supplied cold rolled steel to the United States during the specified period. For him, the anti-dumping tax rate was determined as 8.65%. The same rate of 22.58% continues to be applied for other British producers and exporters.
