According to the preliminary Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 210,600 tons of hot-dip galvanized (HDG) sheets and strips in February this year, falling by 31.4% compared to the previous month while rising by nearly 36% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 65,800 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 10.8% and a year-on-year drop of 11.5%. Other import sources included Mexico (around 25,100 tons), Turkey (around 22,600 tons), the UAE (around 21,200 tons), and Vietnam (around 19,600 tons).
