Rebar and scrap prices increased by NTD 200 (New Taiwan Dollars) per ton to NTD 19,700 (USD 612.70) and NTD 10,900 (USD 338.29), respectively, while the section steel price remained unchanged at NT$26,700 (USD 828.37).
On the other side, Japan's H2 scrap prices fell to USD 368 per tonne, while US containerized scrap prices rose to USD 365. Moreover, Australian iron ore prices rose from USD 97.8 per tonne to USD 111.2 per tonne.Meanwhile, Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC), the largest integrated steel manufacturer in Taiwan, has announced a decision to maintain the prices of all its products flat for the month of May. These products encompass a wide range, including hot-rolled plate/coil, hot-rolled coil applicable to rolling materials, cold-rolled coil, electro-galvanized (EG) steel coil, and other materials.
