The stagnation in iron and steel markets continues. In this period of stagnant markets, the negative impact of factors such as financial constraints of banks and supply-demand imbalance in the domestic market continues. Higher energy, labor and raw material prices in Türkiye are also negatively affecting exports.
Market officials said, “It seems possible for companies that are not financially strong to survive this period with minor damage. However, companies that survive with financial support and loans may experience problems in the coming periods. Therefore, it may be useful to act cautiously.”
Producer prices in the local market continue to range between $590-610 depending on the region, while the export market remains quiet.
