Stainless steel production has increased in Russia

Russian Federation's index of metallurgical production for February 2023 was an annual ratio of 101.1% and for January-February was 98.7%.

Production volumes of semi-finished products  in February decreased by 2.8% y-o-y and by 0.5% m-o-m to 4.6 million tons. Since the beginning of the year, production was reduced by 3 .5% to 9.2 million tons.

Stainless steel in ingots,  in other primary forms, as well as semi-finished products from February, was produced 27.7 thousand tons - by 50.9% more y-o-y and by 16.3% compared to January. According to the results of January-February, the indicators improved by 44.2%.

Next week, on April 6-7, Yekaterinburg will host the Stainless Steel and Russian Market conference, which will discuss the prospects for the production and consumption of stainless steel products.
